British Racing Green 1971 Jaguar E Type Series 3 2+2 coupe with the all new for 1971 5.3 L V12 engine. This new V12 Jaguar power plant was developed for the 24 hours of Lemans and is capable of 272 horsepower, lots of torque and a 0-60 acceleration of less than 7 seconds. If you have ever owned one of these rare V12 Jaguars, you know the fuel system can be temperamental and leave you on the side of the road. This car has been upgraded with a RedLine fuel injection system at a cost of close to $10,000.  We have parts and service receipts for this upgrade. The 50 year old winey transmission has also been upgraded to a superior freeway friendly Richmond 5 speed manual transmission for more concise shifting with less synchro noise. Rare factory air conditioning that has been upgraded to R134 refrigerant. The odometer reads 67450, actual miles are unknown. This rare Series 3 Jaguar is characterized by its longer wheelbase, roomier interior, large cross slatted front grille, flared wheel arches and chrome V12 badges on the rear. This beautiful Jaguar is painted in original British Racing Green and has a few minor chips down low from driving enjoyment.The sleek body is very solid with tight gaps and is dressed with mostly original chrome and stainless trim which is a testimony to the overall care and maintenance of the car. The black cockpit area of this exotic V12  is like a jet ready to take off with very nice original factory black leather bucket seats, center console with arm rest, tach and gauges with a 160 mph speedometer, Jaguar seat belts, pop out rear side windows, factory steering wheel, rare factory air conditioning and a Pyle stereo system. Rolling on very nice chrome wire wheels with Jaguar spinners and like new radial tires for drop dead good looks.
