A beautiful 1969 candy apple red, 428 R code, Mustang Mach I Sport roof with deluxe dark red interior and Mach I striping is a great addition to our line up. The door trim tag and Mustang Decoder online validates the car as being a real 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air V8 with 4-speed close ratio transmission and 3:25:1 traction lock rear differential. It is a rare rebuilt 1967 428 block stamped with C7ME-A. The date code on the block is 7 which is 1967, M which is december and 9 which is the 9th day. The red paint was beautifully applied over a very solid body and it is straight as an arrow. The front of the car has a new front bumper, grill and moldings, spoiler and emblems. The sides have new door handles, emblems, window chrome and rocker moldings. The rear has new bumper, fuel cap, tail lamp lenses and emblems. The top side has the shaker ram air scoop, a new windshield, rear window louvers and a deck lid spoiler. The bottom of the car is solid and intact with new floor pans and crisp pinch welds from front to back. A sharp looking newer interior is dark red knitted vinyl. It has new seat covers, carpeting and headliner. The dash has the original Tachometer and wood grain center. A center console, Hurst shifter and rim blow steering wheel finish it off perfectly. The 428 big block engine looks like it just came from the factory. According to what we know today, we believe the block has been changed and has most of the correct components on top of it. We could not find the matching vin#. It has the correct valve covers, air cleaner, and even has the smog system in place. Drive train is a top loader 4 speed manual transmission and the rear axle is a 9 inch rear end. The exhaust is running through cast iron manifolds and new dual pipes with Magnaflow mufflers. Wheels are factory rallys with new trim rings and hub caps and Goodyear Polyglass white lettered tires. This car is a piece of American Mustang History and is priced to sell.
