1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible
RED WITH INDIANAPOLIS 500 PACE CAR GRAPHICS ADDED, MATCHING TWO TONE INTERIOR, 3-SPEED TRANSMISSION W/ OVERDRIVE, POWER PAC 265 V8 ENGINE WITH POWER STEERING AND A CONTINENTAL KIT, According to the previous owner an excess of 70k was spent on this cars restoration. An extensive frame-off restoration was preformed on a incredible survivor 1955 Bel Air car. This American Dream Machine was stripped down to bare metal and painted professionally from top to the incredible clean bottom of this car. The undercarriage is incredible and intact and what you would expect for a frame off restored car. The car was painted in the correct two tone Indianapolis 500 single stage colors Gypsy Red and Shoreline Beige white. The paint on the back of the car was showing some imperfections, so we decided to repaint the shoreline back of the car in base clear with a touch of pearl and it looks amazing. During the extensive restoration process the car received New chrome all the way around including, new bumpers front and back, new bumperettes, new continental kit and tire cover, new grill, new side trim and door handles, new windshield and side glass. The engine compartment is in pristine condition. Under the hood is a show quality engine compartment that embellishes a 265 cubic inch Power Pack version, called the Super Turbo-Fire with a 4 barrel carburetor, Power Pack heads, nicely optioned with Power steering. The interior is amazing and restored to a professional level withe new seat covers, new carpet and door panels, new repainted dash, new dash bezels new instrument cluster, toped off with new beige top. This beautiful car is rolling on a new set if wide white tires and correct steel wheels and newer 55 hubcaps. We do not believe that this is a original Indianapolis 500 convertible, but no mater what, it's an awesome 1955 convertible that is an nostalgic icon car. We are assuming it is just an amazing recreation. If we had paper work and historical documents, it would be worth ten times the price we are asking. We recently drove this car to the Good Guys National car show. It was a huge hit and drove like a dream.
